Pitching Session “You Only Pitch Twice”

International co-production pitch for upcoming short films. Selected participants will have five minutes to pitch their project to an audience of film professionals. Short film projects that have been previously presented at other pitching forums – Baltic Pitching Forum (Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia), Lago Film Festival – Premio Rodolfo Sonego (Italy), SFC | Rendez-vous Industry – Cannes Court Métrage (France), ShorTS – Maremetraggio (Italy) – are admitted to participate.

Pitching Session “Road to Euro Connection/Italy”

New pitch session for short film projects in development that already have an established author/producer team and are looking for co-productions. The teams have been selected from the Italian projects that have applied to the European co-production pitching forum Euro Connection. The same selected teams will take part in a Visitors’ Programme in Clermont-Ferrand during the International Short Film Market in February 2025.

Meeting: XR projects between animation and augmented reality

Meeting with Boris Labbé, visual artist and winner of the Venice Immersive 2024 Grand Prize with ‘Ito Meikyū’, and Jonathan Pêpe, visual artist in the field of plastic arts and virtual reality, both linked to the Medici Residency XR Farnese, to explore their artistic work between animation and augmented reality.

The Italian Short Film Center continues its collaboration with the Venice International Film Critics‘ Week for the promotion of Italian short films by proposing a public screening of the titles in competition at the 9th edition of SIC@SIC (Short Italian Cinema @ International Film Critics’ Week) at the Cinema Greenwich Village, in the context of the special screenings proposed by Torino Film Industry.

Round table ITALIAN SHORT FILM SHAPES

The roundtable is a kick-off for the publication on the state of the art of the short film sector in Italy that the Italian Short Film Center intends to produce in 2025. Representatives from the production, distribution, festival and cultural sectors will take turns on stage to share their experiences and their best practices developed through short film projects.

Panel: Yes, but where is the entrance?

A meeting for students, young authors and cultural operators, with the aim of illustrating some of the short film training opportunities that take place in Italy. 
The panel will present three Italian cultural initiatives with free or accessible participation costs, which promote short films as a training tool for young professionals and contribute to the well-being of the community and the territories where they are made.
